Things I have learned about babies this week
1. you can make the silliest noises and they laugh
2. they are wobbly
3. they are warm and squishy
4. they like to eat, sleep, bounce, sway and babble
5. I LOVE them!

ReplyDeleteYour joy in watching the babies develop is infectious. I am reminded of all the wonderful things you did as a baby that were SO different from what Kappie did. Watching two genetically unique siblings of the same age (twins, fraternal, that is) was an amazing experience. When you see the babies do something now you can say with amazement "Did I do that, too?" Watching the babies opens the door on what each of us goes through in development: years of dependency before we "become our selves." Fact is, parents and older people who know us as children know more about us an individual than we know about ourselves. It just takes us years to realize it. Some people never do. There's hope, though.
